What does that mean? Is it currable
Hello and thanks for your post
I'm afraid I can't give you a detailed medical opinion on your situation as we are not involved in your clinical care. Your specialist team are better placed to advise you as they are familiar with all your medical details. If you have access to a lung cancer specialist nurse then perhaps they can provide you with further information. You often have to call and leave them a message and they will get back to you.
Squamous cell means that the cancer has developed in the flat cells that cover the surface of the airways. It tends to grow near the centre of the lung.
All cancers are staged according to the cancer type, size and extent ( if it has spread) of the cancer. The system commonly used is the TNM that stands for Tumour Nodes and Metastases. You can read more about this for lung cancer here. As you will see from the highlighted link a T2 lung tumour can mean different things.
N0 M0 means that the cancer has not spread to nearby lymph nodes (N0) or to other parts of the body (M0).
You can read more about how lung cancer may be treated at this link
I hope this is of some use. Give us a ring if you would like to talk things through. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards,
Celene
