We have some information about radiation necrosis here on our radiotherapy side effects page.

This is rare but usually occurs 1-3 after radiotherapy has finished and an area of dead cells appears. Many patients don't need treatment for this but occasionally a course of steroids or surgery may be needed.

It is best to speak with the doctor involved in the patients care to find out what the best way forward in their situation.
