Colonoscopy tomorrow

I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow afternoon after having issues with back and bowl pain since September this year. I have someone taking me to the appointment but I'm worried about having it done. I really hope they can sedate me as I'm not good with pain, not keen on needles BUT will opt to have a needle if having a seductive.

I had a liver contrast MRI in 1st October but no results, is this a good thing? I've asked at the doctor's for results. They told me to contact hospital but they won't give me them over phone but didn't give me an appointment for results.

  • Hello Nikkitrouble71 and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about the symptoms you have been having and that you are now undergoing some tests.

This is bound to be a worrying time for you but hopefully once all the tests have been done and the results are in you will know more.

Do let the hospital team know how anxious you are about the colonoscopy and I am sure they will do all they can to relax you and help you through this procedure.

Often when people are being investigated for symptoms the doctors will want all the results before they talk through the findings so try not to over think things too much for now.

I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow but do get back in touch if you need to. The nurses are here on the end of the line week days 9-5 if you ever want to talk in person. Our number is 0808 800 4040.

    All the best

    Naomi
