I had a hysterectomy on the 19th Oct and am waiting for results from the removal of complex ovarian cyst. I've recied a letter today to go for an appointment in December but unsure if I will receive results before then?
I hope you are recovering well from your recent hysterectomy. I am unsure if you will have the results of your surgery beforehand, you may do or the doctor will discuss them with you in December at your appointment. You could try and call the consultant's secretary and they may be able to give you more of an idea.

Thankyou Jemma, I've rang the secretary who said the results are there and she was going to get a letter sent out. I'm hoping this will be soon and will be good news; if it was cancer would they not call me up before now. Pp
I don't think anyone can presume that the hospital would have contacted them sooner to get their results if there was anything to be worried about. Everything will hopefully be fine but you need your hospital team to confirm this for you.
I appreciate waiting when you are worried is stressful but hopefully you will know more soon.
Hi June06 - i had a full abdominal hysterectomy on 14th September for a mass which originated from my left ovary. When i saw the surgeon the day after the operation he said it looked benign but it would go to biopsy. I was advised by letter around 6 weeks later that that i had ovarian fibrothecomas on both ovaries but they were completely benign and no further treatment was required. Hope my similar experience has helped and that you are recovering well
