Swollen Lymph Nodes

Hello, 

I have been going out of my mind with worry and I wonder if anyone has been through the same.

4 months ago I noticed a pea sized lump above my collar bone I went to see the GP and they referred me to ENT by the time I had my appointment with ENT I had a matching lump on the other side but a bit bigger. Gp said this could be a sign of cancer and referred me also to Gastro team.

MRI on all gastro and neck came back clear of no malignancy- blood all came back clear. ENT found i still had my adenoids and did a biopsy. Gastro team did a biopsy and that came back clear. Ent have just done a biopsy of the adeoids. 

The nodes are still swollen a US shoes there are all ok and all under 5mm.

gp has ordered more bloods and if they come back clear again she will refer me to haematology.

    I’m sorry to read about your situation and appreciate how difficult it is waiting.

    If you want others on the forum to respond, then you would need to post in the general area, and not in the ask the nurses section. Bear in mind though, that everyone's situation is different, and may not be that relevant to your circumstances.

    There are several different reasons for similar symptoms, and not all of them will turn out to be serious, so try to keep an open mind.

    Keep occupied, and hopefully you will have some support at this time from your friends and family.
