Colonoscopy tomorrow - bowels won't clear

Hi all,

I have been given the double prep of Moviprep and Picolux, I started this yesterday morning and was awake all through the night on the toilet. I already suffer with piles and now I can tell I have grade 4 - the pain is unbelievable and I am still going to the toilet every 15 minutes.

My concern is that I have to take another Moviprep tonight at 6pm and my bum is so so sore that I feel like I could pass out. Looking at what is coming out of me it is still yellow and slightly cloudy, when will this clear? I had hoped it would by now and I am so worried that it will be all for nothing and the Colonoscopy will get cancelled.

    Try and complete the course of bowel preparation if you can.

    Drinking lots of fluids does help too. We can't give you specific advice, so do call the hospital department that is doing the procedure if you are concerned.

    Applying a barrier cream to the anal area can help with soreness.
