Lynda
hello and welcome
sorry you had a diagnosis, I had breast cancer july 22 back to crazy life but hete to chat help in anyway I can xx love Lara xx
Hi Lynda. I’m so sorry for your diagnosis. Do you mind me asking what your symptoms are and how you came to be diagnosed. As in are you symptomatic or was it a routine scan? If so were you told they thought you had it at the scan or after results were back? I’m in limbo at the minute.
what I will say is there are a number of ladies and men on here who have been where you are now and are so Supportive. Sending big hugs your way
xx
Hi Lynda,
Welcome - although I’m really sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
Ive also had a breast cancer diagnosis and am having a mastectomy on Tuesday of next week. I’m frightened too- I think it would be very odd if we weren’t, to be honest. This is such a difficult time, and I know exactly what you mean about feeling alone. Lots of my friends have stepped back since my diagnosis- I think they are shocked and just don’t know what to say. That’s what makes this forum so amazing- everyone understands.
Keep checking in here- you will get lots of support, and advice if you want/ need it.
Much love xx
Hello Lynda and thanks for your post.
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that you are waiting to have surgery. This must be a difficult time for you. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
It is never easy to wait for treatment (surgery) to start but once it has it will feel better knowing that your breast cancer is being dealt with.
Remember, you are welcome to give us a call to talk this through
Take care,
Caroline
