Ww2 referral

Hi

I am waiting for my ww2 referral  but I am going away on Friday within this period.  I will be in a mini cruise and will not have access to phone line as normal.I am worried I will miss my call to make appointment or if they think I don’t want the appointment anymore. And I have to start all over waiting again! . What can I do please as I’m already going out of my mind and it’s only been 5 days. Is there any suggestions of what I can do please .
Thank you

  • Hello and thanks for your post

The 2-week wait was always a guideline but many people are having to wait more than this to be seen. This is due to the pandemic and staff shortages within NHS trusts.

All I can suggest is that you contact the hospital and explain your situation, they may be able to tell you where you are on the list. You can also get a family member or friend to check the post to see if an appointment comes through while you are away. Most people have a mobile phone so even if you can’t easily pick up calls it is possible for the hospital to leave you a message on your voicemail.

I hope you know more about your appointment soon. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards.
