Well, the drain went really well as -having told me I would be in for a week after the neck dissection, I was home two days later!

The staples all around my neck and throat are impressive and due out in 10’days (note to self, contact GP tomorrow not arrange it) and then I will have an appt in about 3 weeks to discuss what radiotherapy is needed.

So I’m  home, resting, eating the best I can, trying to get the balance of meds and not too bunged up with codeine, letting myself feel what I feel but struggling with crying-as it’s too painful and sore….self care and taking things gently…. 

Hi That’s good yes please listen to your body. As fir codeine bung up get g o to urgently prescribe movicol or laxido stool softeners. They will become your best friend ) after me only joking ) As radiotherapy goes on the pain might increase I was in 8!x30 mg cocodomol snd at its worse 40 mil oramorph. 
There will be time to cry  later for now just rest and recuperate. Todays the beginning of getting rid of the blighter. Here when you need advise or a rant. You can contact me via friend request as well
