I had routine bloods done and showed raised liver enzymes.

Went for an abdomen ultrasound that showed slightly narrowed bile duct.

The consultant is not overly concerned - not sure what it really means!

I had several operations many years ago for a burst appendix and perotinitis. could the surgery have damaged the bile duct?

I now have to have another blood test so am worrying myself to death and cannot sleep or eat as convinced it is cancer.

I'm sorry to read about what's been happening. This must be a difficult time for you and can appreciate you wanting some answers.

Unfortunately we are not a hospital or part of the NHS and don't have access to medical doctors who can assess or tell you what the matter is.

Abnormal liver blood tests can be caused by many different things and in most cases won't be the result of cancer. I'm afraid I can't tell you if your previous surgeries has affected your bile duct. Doctors are the best people to assess you and usually will arrange further tests if this is needed. So do be guided by them.
