Sorry, I’m getting an erosion mixed up with a lesion. I guess they are two different things.

I can't help with answers for your questions but just wanted to send you a big virtual hug as I know what you are going through. My last gastroscopy was back in January, due to raised tumour markers rather than symptoms.  I recently started getting abdominal discomfort and pain and bloating. I had omeprazole for 3 weeks but it did not really help and now have had cimetidine added in as well but not much improvement as yet so I feel your struggle. Good luck

Any biopsies taken during procedures are thoroughly examined by the pathologists in the labs. They look for any sort of changes to what, in this case stomach cell, would look like and then send a report.

It is probably best to discuss this further with your GP if you are still concerned, particularly if you feel the omeprazole and Gaviscon aren't giving you any relief.
