Bone cancer

I have recently been diagnosed with bone cancer in the public bone. Apparently there is no treatment for the condition and I would like to know if there are any clinical trials available. Thanks.

Best regards

Keith

  • Hello Keith and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with bone cancer.

We have a database that lists trials that we are aware of and have permission to put on our website but we are not involved in recruiting patients into trials.

Trials have strict entry requirements and you would have to match all of these to be considered for a trial. There are 2 trials on our database which you can see here

It is always worth asking your oncology team if they are aware of any trials that you could join. It is your own oncologist who would be responsible for referring you to where a trial was taking place if there was one that was suitable. Your oncology team are the best people to advise you as they know all about your condition.

We do have some information on the research that is going into primary bone cancer which you can see here

If you want to talk any of this through with one of the nurses on the helpline then you are welcome to give us a ring. our helpline number is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and we are here Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    All the best,

    Catherine
