I am sorry to hear that you had breast cancer surgery.  I can appreciate that having a different breast size before the surgery on your other breast is done could be difficult to live with.

You might find it helpful to wear a breast prosthesis/ enhancer until you have the surgery to match up your other breast. This could be a temporary solution and make you feel happier about your situation. You may want to ask your breast care nurse about this and what the NHS can offer you. You could also look online for breast enhancers too.

I really sympathise with your situation and how you are feeling.  I had one with a lumpectomy and now my left breast is considerably smaller than the right, where I had a implant.  I don't think I had any information about what the results of this would look like as all the discussions I had were focused on the mastectomy/ reconstruction, only vague reassurances about the cosmetic result.  I'm finding the changes very hard to come to terms with and totally get what you're feeling.  There is more detailed info online which may be useful - eg. Body Image and Cancer booklet on Macmillan website.  It really helped me knowing that sadness and grief is normal after breast cancer surgery.  Have you thought about speaking to one of the nurses on BreastCancerNow helpline?  That has helped me most.  Take care
