Hi, after my vagas nerve was removed about a year ago, I've been having chronic spasms at night. It starts as a small pain in my shoilder then spreads to my inner ear and neck. The pain is so bad I think I'm dying. The episodes last from 1-2 hrs. I've spoken to my team at the hospital and they say try stretching exercises. Another doctor said it's something I've got to live with and manage. I do exercises as recommended but still the episodes return. It happens about 3-4 times a week, only at night. I live alone now and it's so scary !! I've tried all sorts of pillow variations and sleep positions, but to no avail. I was precribed morphine for my first round of radiotherapy, but I didn't really like taking it. I'm so grateful I'm cancer free, but boy, the price you pay !!
My question is ... has anybody out there exprienced anything similar ?
Thank you,
Gary
