  • Hello Donzy and thank you for your post.

I can appreciate that this must be a worrying time for you and your daughter. But I am afraid that no one here can throw any more light onto what you know already. The term borderline can be used for many reasons, an ultrasound scan can be used to diagnose some conditions or say if something needs to be further investigated.

Do follow the advice you have been given about getting an appointment to discuss the results and what they mean. If there is a need to find out what is the matter then your daughter may need to be referred to the hospital to see a specialist doctor who will decide if other investigations need to be done.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care,

    Caroline
