I’m sorry you are awaiting some results and appreciate this must be an anxious time for you.

Usually, patients are told at the appointment when and how they will receive the test results.

Individual hospitals can vary in the way their patients receive their results. They can be given them face to face (even when it is good news)  or by letter or telephone.

Sometimes there can be a slight delay getting results so try not to worry or over think too much if the 2 weeks comes and goes without hearing anything but if another week passes it is worth then chasing things up.
