I've had a scan. On the day of the scan the woman kept repeating that the results would be with GP that same day and to phone them for an appointment to discuss, she even emphasised it on my way out the room, which concerned me. I called my GP and they said they hadn't got the results, try on Monday, but that evening at 7pm I recieved a text from my GP saying my results were there and I needed to contact my GP in the morning. This was on a Friday night! Today I recieved a text saying I had a telephone appointment in 2 weeks time to discuss my results. Now partbof me thought, well it can't be anything bad if they are waiting 2 weeks to tell me, but I rang the surgery anyway. All they could tell me was the result is "unknown". They said they have no other appointments available and I'd have to wait to speak to the GP in 2 weeks.
I haven't had a period for 18 months, my hormone levels do not indicate menopause, which I had assumed it was (I'm 49), in February I had a random, one off, bright (baby) pink bleed that lasted a day. I have bloating and bad constipation, sometimes I feel nauseous and I'm cold and tired all the time. Sometimes my legs ache and feel heavy like they used to before my period, but I've had no more bleeding. I also have chronic lower back pain.
What could "unknown" mean? I've seen the posts about borderline, but not unknown. 2 weeks is a long time to have this playing on my mind. Can anyone offer any input? Thanks.
