2 week wait appointment biopsy

Hello, I had a skin sample taken from my ankle area ( non urgent) approximately 8 weeks ago now and I've had a phone call today asking me I need to see my dermatologist at the hospital as an urgent referral. As you can imagine I'm worrying so much and my mind is thinking the worst as I've had this for 3 years and been told by 3 different specialists it doesn't look sinister. I don't suppose anybody has any information as to why they may want to see me urgently . I would feel deeply let down if it was bad news :( Thanks for reading !

    It sounds like you're having a worrying time at the moment.

    Unfortunately no one on this forum can tell you why the dermatologist would want to see you urgently.  Having an urgent referral would mean the aim would be to see you within two weeks so hopefully you won't have to wait too long to find out more.

    It can be difficult waiting for appointments, some people find it helps to keep busy with their usual routine and talk things through with their friends and family.
