  • Hello Gavla12345 and thanks for posting,

I am sorry to learn that you have stomach ache that is causing you some concern.

I'm afraid no one here on Cancer Chat is able to say what is causing your stomach ache and if anything is the matter, only your doctor can. Our usual advice to anyone with persistent and unexplained symptoms is to talk them over with your GP.

Stomach aches can occur for a number of reasons, the NHS website explains them at this link

You mentioned that the GP seems slow to refer. There are referral guidelines in case cancer might be a possibility, you can read about them on the website of the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) here.  These explain when the GP should refer urgently because cancer is suspected. These referral guidelines take someone's age into account because the likelihood of cancer is much lower in younger people - it is a more common disrease in older age groups.

Do talk things over with the GP,  I hope they can help and that things improve for you.

    Wishing you the best,

    Julia
