Biopsy results waiting time

I had my colonoscopy on 27th of April due to iron deficiency, blood in stool, qFIT over 400, stomach ache and changes in bowel habit. Also family history of bowel cancer. 

 

They took number of samples from different sites during the colonoscopy and said something about a tattoo? Not sure, they didn't explain. 

 

I was told 8-10days for results but still have not heard anything.

 

Very worried its bad news since its taking so long  

 

Can anyone share their wait times for results and if it was good or bad?

    Unfortunately due to NHS pressures some people are waiting longer than usual for their biopsy results. I’m afraid we cannot tell you exactly how long you will have to wait as there will be some regional variations in different NHS Trusts.

    But, if you don't hear anything by next week, then do ask your GP to enquire, or ring the specialist/consultant secretary. 

    I don't know if anyone will come along and post, but even if they do, I am not sure that their experience will shed much light on your situation
