Does anyone know if after having your prostate removed and not having sperm frozen whether they can still get sperm from your body to be able to fertilise an egg?

Hello Hanktank and thank you for your post.
We are not experts on fertility however I have looked into the clinical guidance about this.
Reading the guidance it looks like it might be possible for you to have a surgical procedure where the semen is taken from the testicles. However, I do not know if this will be possible for you.
If you do have a follow-up with the team that treated you then do ask to be referred to a fertility clinic. This is where your fertility can be discussed with you and if this procedure can be done. If you are no longer under the care of the cancer team then do talk this through with your GP.
We have information about how prostate cancer can affect fertility, it is on our website here and about sperm collection here
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Caroline
