A little worried I have pain in lower stomach , I have a high CA125 blood test and going for a V ultrasound I have just had an internal exam which the consultant said my uterus is "bulky" should I be concerned??
A bulky uterus can occur for several reasons including uterine fibroids which are non cancerous growths - you can read more about fibroids on the NHS website here. So for now, I don't think you need to worry overly although I appreciate that having tests done can be unsettling because of the uncertainty.
I expect the vaginal ultrasound scan will tell your consultant more and hopefully they will be able to put your test results together and explain things soon.
I also had this around 3 years ago and it turned out to be a 10cm fibroid.
it was deemed as being needed to be removed urgently but am still on the waiting list. In the meantime they started me on Zoladex 3.6mg injections so that they could shrink the fibroid as I opted for keyhole surgery.
Fingers crossed for you it turns out to be the same kinda thing (though hopefully not as large)
