Needing a little advice

I'm scheduled to get high anterior resection for bowel cancer this Wednesday morning 3rd May. I was wondering if I should be doing a bowel prep before hand, just like I did for the colonoscopy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The colonoscopy dept at our local Hospital is closed for the May Day holidays. Thanks

    I am sorry we haven't got back to you sooner and hope you managed to speak with someone from the hospital yesterday about today.

    Usually patients are told by their team if they need to follow any special diet or take laxitives to prepare the bowel for surgery. Although I appreciate there can be quite alot of information to take in and process.
