but I would definitely go back to Gp and ask for a breast clinic refereral
a Gp in my opionion is not experienced enough in this area but remember this is just a check breast clinic will do a thorough check for you and you can then settle that you have checked everything otherwise it will be on your mind .
This is only my personal opionion im not in any way medically trained . But as you were here it must be on your mind that you are maybe worried so the only way to stop that is to maybe go to the breast clinic .
This could be the remnants of the abscess but to be on the safe side do get it checked out again by your GP.
While waiting for an appointment this will be an opportunity to see if this further reduces in size. However, try to minimize touching and prodding it as this could make it worse.

Just thought I'd come back to confirm. So I had a raised bump on my breast (lower inner quadrant). It was under the skin and red/painful. It ended up being a breast abcesses which left a bump under the skin. I had a scan and the bump left is just the cyst that got infected.
