Steps in a DIEP reconstruction

Hi, I had a DIEP and immediate reconstruction of my right breast in 2012 in London.  What was the order of the operation - did the cancerous breast tissue come out first, then the stomach cut and the tissue put into the breast ? Or might the stomach cut have happened first? Can it vary? I'm just trying to remember. It all worked and looks great.

    You asked about your breast surgery and having a DIEP. Usually the breast would be operated on first, closely followed by the tissue being moved from the abdominal area.
