Hi, this sounds like the effects of steroids, which I had too when on chemo. Do you know if you have had steroids?

I didn't do anything and it only got better after I'd finished chemo. I think it's an inevetable side effect of the steroids. I suggest you report it to your medical team as they may be able to help. Take care, Amy x

Thanks for your reply. I am going to the Dr's tomorrow as I have water retention now in other parts of my body too. She may prescribe diuretic [water tablets] which hopefully will ease the pain.

I can see that you have had several replies from other forum members, sharing their experiences.

These side effects may well persist whilst you are having this chemotherapy. Try to avoid extremes of temperature, and use tepid water, and PH Balanced products on your face and neck. Do let your hospital team know, they may be able to advise you on what may help. Steroids do cause swelling, but this should subside once treatment has finished.
