Had my scan Sunday got call urology prostate biopsy consultation this Friday.. worried thinking all sorts .if it was bad news would they call me instead of a pre booked appointment .

The doctor may want to discuss your MRI results Sometimes it helps to have a face to face appointment. I would use the appointment as a chance to ask questions and find out more.
Your MRI on your prostate may have shown an area that needed further investigations but of course without being involved in your care it is difficult to second guess.
Sometimes the only way to find out more about whether cancer is present is to do a biopsy. When you have an MRI a doctor who specialises in imaging scans gives the MRI scan a score based on the results. This score helps the doctor decide on the next step and whether you need to have a biopsy. This is where the doctor takes a sample of your prostate gland.
