I have a fibroadenoma which has been biopsied twice. It continues to grow though and I am wondering if ok to leave it alone or I should go back a third time? Thx

Hi JBen30 and thanks for posting.
I'm not sure how long ago you had the biopsies done, or if the fibroadenoma had increased in size before you had the second biopsy. Usually the recommendation is to go back to your GP or the breast clinic where you were seen, if you notice a change or if it gets bigger.
It is always a good idea to get things checked out if you notice something that is not normal for you, and hopefully it will put your mind at rest.
I hope this is helpful, but please do get back to us if you need any more information or support. You might like to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Rachel
Hi,
I had one of these when I was 21, they didn't biopsy it but I had to go back for an ultrasound after 6 months to see if it had grown, it had so it was removed, all was fine. I had another one when pregnant at 26 and that was biopsied but disappeared on its own!
