MRI Head and spinal

Had MRI back in Dec 2022...Just received call from consultant secretary Ive to see consultant 4th April. just wondering why I need to meet with consultant as an outpatient and why they just can't phone me with results. Previouslay re any test etc they normally call you with results or is it different with MRI scans? Does this mean something is wrong given Ive to see consultant (it wasnt event consultant I was referred by it was my GP and he doesn't have a copy of results!)

Hospitals can vary in how their patients receive their results with some receiving them by letter or text, or by telephone or face to face appointments.
It doesn't mean that this is something to be concerned about, but I can't say for sure until you are seen at the hospital.
