Sex 3 years after lletz

I had the lletz procedure in August 2019 and still experiencing unbearable pain during sex 3 years later. It appears that they had taken quite a bit of the cervix and after my recent smear test the nurse said she can still see where it has been done. I don't think it is healing. Is there anything that can be done?

    I am so sorry that you are still having this discomfort 3 years post LLETZ treatment.

    I would encourage you to speak to your GP about your symptoms in case they can advise you further or ask if you can be referred to a gynaecologist about it.  I'm not sure if that is going to be helpful but do ask them.

    Sometimes scarring from a LLETZ can cause on-going discomfort, but a specialist in this may be able to advise further about what might help you.
