Mid osophegal tumor

Hi i had a endoscopy and i was told i had a mid osophagal tumor and am awaiting biopsy results this thursday im so scared and frightened as to what im going to hear as they said theres cause for concern already, but i only get a little pain and only take a painkiller every 2 days at mo xx

    I'm sorry you are going through this, it must be a worry for you.  I'm afraid that we cannot throw any more light on this for you except to say that waiting for results can be difficult. It is good to know that you are not in any great pain. 

    If you have close family and friends it might be a good idea to let them know what you are going through, they will want to support you. You may be able to keep yourself busy, doing everyday things so that there are times of the day when you don't focus on what is happening. This is all easier said than done so I hope you are able to get some support.

    Hi Kaz,

    I know that feeling only too well. 
    The only advice I can offer is to take someone with you as a lot of us forget what we've been told when we are stressed, write down the questions you have and write down the answers for the same reason. 

    I'll not say "try not to worry" because that would be impossible. 

    IF the biopsy shows that it is cancer, they'll probably want to arrange a CT or MRI scan to check whether it had spread. This won't mean they think it has spread, they do this with everyone. Once the results of that are back, they'll discuss treatment options.
