The labs that process biopsies are very busy getting through a huge backlog.

I had results this Saturday by post from hospital which was 4 weeks 3 days after biopsy taken.

So hopefully yours should be available any day.

Waiting is often said to be the worst bit.

Hello and thank you for your post,

I am sorry to hear that you are still waiting for the results of your biopsy. I am afraid this seems to be happening to many people and is caused by a very busy, short staffed NHS. Hopefully you will not be waiting too much longer.

If you are very concerned you could call the colposcopy unit, where you were treated, to let them know you have not heard yet but to be honest I'm not sure if that will get your results any quicker.
