Hi all , I'm a 32 year old female and 6 month ago I found a lump in my neck, I saw my gp who said it was a tiny lymph node and wasn't worried.. 2 month later it was still there, had phone call appointments with 2 other drs who brushed it under the carpet.. they might not of been worried but I was, I have been having a sore throat on and off for a year so I spoke to another gp who said after 4 weeks this should of been investigated and referred me for an ultrasound she did however say she wasn't worried . Fast forward to Wednesday when I went for this ultrasound appointment, the dr who did it was lovely she showed me the screen and explained it was a lymph node and all looked well sometimes they don't reduce back to normal size, I suffer terrible health anxiety so I had her check other lumps I though I could feel on the other side of my neck, one she said she couldn't see the other she said it was far too deep for me to possibly be able to feel..
so my question is , if I had any lump in my throat would the ultrasound of picked it up? Because she did run the probe over my throat.
I apologize for the long boring post and even though I'm over the moon with the outcome o still can help but be worried because I've had a sore throat and feel a need to clear my throat often.. I don't know if it's my anxiety or my gut telling me something is wrong .. so please if you have a spare minute give me your opinion x
