I think it is always ok to ask doctors about things like this, in general they wouldn't want to recommend more treatment than they think is necessary for anyone, but there is no harm in discussing and understanding the options and finding out what lies behind their thinking.
I am not sure how far away the hysteroscopy appointment is, but it is probably a good idea to wait for it so you can talk it over with the specialist team. If that doesn't work out, you could also ask for a consultation later on so that if any biopsies are taken the results would be back.
