It is not too trivial for this site at all. Having investigations can be very unsettling and it is natural to want to know if there are others like you who are in a similar situation.

Everyone however is so different so it is difficult to compare one person with another.

Ovarian cysts are very common and most won't cause any problems at all and some infact disappear after a month or two.

The NHS have some useful information on ovarian cysts, the different types and how they are treated. Have a look here

It is quite normal for a doctor to request a CA125 blood test which you can read about here

A scan is often repeated after a few weeks to see if the cyst has changed size or disappeared altogether.

Try not to overthink about it for now.

Just wanted to let you know that i have many cysts on my ovaries since my 30s. I go reguraly to gynegologict every year and sometimes he finds one. They always went by themselves just needs to be monitor that is all. Once I had a big one and could not see my dr for a while so he gave me some pills to reduce it. After 4 months it was gone.

Hi my ovarian cysts were solid so after scans ect they were removed. I also had extensive adhesions around the left overy which took hours to dissect out. I'm glad I had the operation as the pain has resolved. The biopsies were benign fortunately.

I had 2 cysts found on each ovary last July, ranging in size ffrom 1.4cm to 5.5cm. Blood test was normal and I had to go back for another scan 6 months later. Functional cysts can disappear on their own within 2-3 cycles. Two of mine have gone, one has shrunk and the largest one is unchanged. I have to go back again in another 6 months. I think age does factor  into it, for if you still have regular periods,. I hope all works out well for you
