Black spot / lump on labia

I recently discovered a black shiny surfaced raised spot / lump (not sure it's exactly a lump) on the inside of my labia. I'm really worried about it.   I have a doctors appointment, but it's not until the 17th March and that feels ages away!  I don't know how worried I should be?!  I'm definitely worrying and using Google is just making that a lot worse (I know I shouldn't us google).

    It can be worry to notice a change in our bodies but there are lots of reasons for lumps and bumps to appear and most are harmless and will settle in a short while.

    I'm afraid no one here can say what this may be as there could be several different causes, but as I say most won't be anything as serious as a cancer.

    Please stop googling and wait and see what the doctor has to say, in the meantime though if it worstens do see if you can be seen sooner by the GP or call NHS 111 for advice.
