Multiple lumps on neck

Hi, I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance. I have recently found 3/4 pea size lumps on my neck (mostly right side) 2 of which are quite prominent although are only felt when pressed on they are not visible by just looking at my neck or lightly running your hand over. They are soft and move around when touched and are small pea sized and are pain free.

Obviously google has me convinced I have lymphoma, although I have no weight loss, night sweats. I do however have SOB and use an inhaler regularly but thinking this is down to allergies?
I have been feeling super congested for a few months now, im thinking sinus problems and wake up super stuffed up. Could that mean the lumps are swollen lymph nodes ?

I have a GP appointment in 2 weeks however cannot get anything sooner, I'm driving myself round the bend with worrying.

  • Hello,

I am really sorry to read about how worried you are.  To reassure you most lumps and bumps turn out not to be cancer, but you do need to be seen by your doctor to be on the safe side.  It is always sensible to get any changes in your health checked out.  Try to do something to take your mind off things while you are waiting for your appointment and resist the temptation of going online to try and find out what it might be.  You will not be able to diagnose yourself from the internet.  Also as Cancer Chat is a forum for cancer patients and their loved ones, it is probably not a good idea to spend time on here as it will keep cancer front of mind for you when there could be so many other explanations for the lumps.

    Take care

    Martin
