I am sorry to learn about this mass and can understand how stressful it is not to know what's going on. 

Bear in mind that a mass is just an unidentified area of tissue which can have other causes aside from cancer. But if it is cancer, then the first treatment is meant to start within 62 days of an urgent referral from the GP. Our website explains the NHS cancer waiting time targets at this link. 

There is no way of trying to work out anyone's outlook until a cancer has been confirmed and assessed.
