One year on

Hi, i had a lumpectomy in Jan 2023, radiotherapy end Feb/Mar. The pain has been on and off all year but not able to take meds prescribed as made me too drowsy.

I have had my 12 month mammogram which came back all clear but about six weeks ago i started to get different pain under my arm and boob. My breast has gone from being smaller than the cancer free one to bigger and has got a pink/red tinge but just on top half (where lumpectomy was)??

Has anyone else experienced this?

    I'm afraid I can't explain why you are experiencing the symptoms you mention. Your breast care team or GP are better placed to advise you on this as they are familiar with all your medical details. If you have a breast care nurse involved in your care then perhaps they can provide you with further information. You often have to call and leave them a message and they will get back to you.  

    People often post here on Cancer Chat to ask if anyone else has had similar symptoms, but even if they have, it doesn't necessarily shed any light on your situation as everyone is so individual.
