A bit of oozing from the wound is usually to be expected. However, if it increases, your wound looks redder and more swollen than before it could be a sign of infection. If that happens then do get in touch with the clinic where you had the surgery done, or you could contact your GP or call the NHS 111 service for advice. 

You may have been given some written information about how to care for your wound and what to look out for in terms of a possible infection so do look again at the information.
