Inverted nipple

Hi , so since about 5/6 months ago my right nipple is inverted most of the time. I had my daughter nearly 5 months ago. I visited the dr a few days ago to get checked but obviously as soon as she checked me it came back out. When normally have to really work it to come back out, the odd time it will come back naturally.

I haven't breast fed my daughter so said it could be due to hormones. Has anyone been in the same situation whilst pregnant/ after birth?

Dr just said just come back if there's any other changes it's also getting me down seeing it look that way.

Never happened with my first daughter she hasn't referred me but I feel like she should of possibly?

  • Hello there

As you will be well aware the body goes through many changes in pregnancy as well as during and after birth and it can take a while for things to return to normal.

You have done the right thing seeing your GP about the inverted nipple. It is reassuring when the inversion will correct itself easily with touch but do go back if it persists or you notice anything else going on.

You could always ask to see a different doctor if you prefer.

    I hope this helps

    Take care

    Naomi
