It usually doesn't take longer that a couple of weeks for biopsy results to be reported on, but this can vary depending on how busy the pathology labs are locally. I wasn't sure from your post if the staff at the hospital had told you when and how they would contact you with the results. If you have an appointment to see them again I would expect they would give you the results then. Sometimes a member of staff will telephone you with the results especially if further investigations need to be arranged.
If you haven't heard anything within the next few days, contact the secretary of the consultant who arranged the colonoscopy and biopsy (or your GP if they arranged it) and ask them when and how you can expect to be told the results. hope that is helpful
