Hi, I had surgery to remove a tumour from my cheek and jaw, I finished my radiation in December but I am still quite swollen and still need paracetamol, anyone had similar? Thanks
I am sorry to hear about the treatment you have needed and the swelling and pain you are still experiencing since finishing.
Try and be kind to yourself and your body, it is still early days and your body has been through an intensive course of treatment.
I'm afraid it can take a couple of months for the swelling to settle down and this in itself can cause alot of discomfort so do continue to take the pain killers as needed.
Do mention this though to your specialist team so they can reassess you if needed and take a look in case there is something else going on or they may be able to suggest some other things to help as well.
Whilst others on here may have experienced similar everyone is different so it can be difficult to compare stories sometimes, although I do hope you hear from others as they may be able to give you some support.
