  • Hello there

I am sorry to hear you have myeloma and that the lump on your head has come back again.

Surgery isn't usually a treatment option for this type of cancer but I am sure your oncologist wil discuss the plan of treatment moving forward. Treatments will vary between patients and it will only be your own specialist team who can advise you as to what is best for you at this time.

We have a section of information about treatment when myeloma comes back here.

I hope you know more about your situation and treatment soon and wish you the very best.

    Take care

    Naomi

  • Cheers Naomi,

Thanks for your reply my Pelvic area as recently received 1 wk Radiotherapy and i feel great.

    More mobility less pain.

The Lump on my head disappeared completley after Chemotherapy in October 21 so now its Returned 4 mths later January 22.

The Lump is round and soft to touch is this good! No Headaches nothing.

Could the Radiotherapy i received in my lleft Pelvic Region had a bearing on Myeloma returning to head!

My Lump had a good Response to Treatment ,it Killed Myeloma. Also when should i worry about Lump!!

  • Hi Joseph63 and thanks for posting again.

It's good to hear that the radiotherapy has helped with your mobility and you have less pain now.

It is unlikely that the radiotherapy would cause the myeloma to return to your head.

You ask when you should worry about the lump on your head. If you have concerns about it before you see your oncologist you could make an appointment with your GP to talk things through.

As my colleague Naomi mentioned there is some more information here about treatment when myeloma comes back which may be helpful.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support.  You might like to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Take care,

    Rachel
