Help please

So I posted on here end of September about a lump in breast, I was refered to breast clinic, was given a quick feel and told probably nothing to worry about, there was no one in ultrasound dept that day so couldn't get properly checked, was told to wait on an appointment , that was over3 months ago and I am still waiting to be seen,, the lump is still there,  I'm at my bloody wits end considering my mum died from breast cancer age 44, so my other issue is I have just found a lump in my leg feels exact same as the lump in my boob...should I be worried

  • Hello and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about the wait for your appointment. It might be helpful to make an appointment with the GP so they can examine the lump in your leg and you can tell them that you are still waiting for an appointment for your breast. Lumps around the body are common and the vast majority are nothing to worry about but we can't diagnose you. The lump in your leg is probably unrelated to your breast but of course we can't be sure.

You can talk to the GP about your concerns and your mum's breast cancer if you have not done so already.

Hopefully they will be able to put your mind at rest whilst you wait for your ultrasound.

If you would like to ring and speak to one of the helpline nurses then you are more then welcome to do so.

Our number is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and we are here Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    All the Best,

    Catherine
