Women’s breasts and nearby areas consist of mammary glands, or the glandular tissue, that hold milk-producing cells - the lobules and ducts of the breast. The breasts also have connective and fatty tissue. These tissues make up the shape of your breasts. Normal breast tissue can often feel 'lumpy' and you hear many women having 'lumpy' or swollen breasts especially at different times of the month, usually due to hormonal level changes.

However, it is sensible to ask your GP about it, they can assess and hopefully reassure you. It makes sense to get checked out for peace of mind.

Hi, this isn't really on my breast as such it's more underneath the collarbone area/ towards my armpit, it just feels firmer than the other side, not lumpy. Just harder, it's definitely different to the other side and the shape of my breast looks a bit different, I don't know whether im just being dramatic

It does sound like you are worried about this, and as my colleague Vanda says, it makes sense to see your GP, so you can discuss it with them.

They will also be able to assess you.
