Hi my mum has started her treatment 6 momths ago and is still suffering badly with the itch on her scalp. Is there anything to advise which would give some relief. I would greatly appreciate the advice. Thanks in advance. Irene

Hello Irene and thanks for posting,
It is probably best to wash the hair or scalp less often, and only with tepid water not hot or very cold.
Skin issues are common in people having treatment for lymphoma. The UK charity Lymphoma Action lists helpful tips on skin care generally.

They say,
Moisturise frequently throughout the day. Aim for three to four times a day using an anti-itch moisturiser (for example Balneum Plus Cream), which your doctor can prescribe. You might have to try a few creams before finding one that works well for you. If one cream doesn’t help, ask your doctor if you can try something else.
I think a similar product is Eucerin 5% urea sold in pharmacies. These are available over the pharmacy counter. Always useful to tell the doctor if any creams are used without a prescription.
I hope that this is helpful,
Best wishes,
Vanda
