I’ve found 3 lumps.

I've got a lump on the left side of my face just above my cheek and I've had it for 3 years it's recently gotten a lot bigger and I've been suffering from really bad headaches. I've now just found a lump just above the bottom of my ear and it's also quite big considering it's only just appeared and then when I went for a shower a couple of days ago I also notice a giant lump udner my armpit with a line going across it. I'm really concerned as all 3 lumps are still growing and they're still getting bigger. I'm scared this could lead towards something really bad. I'm only 16 but im just concerned about how big the lumps are and how quickly they've all grown. I've also been having a lot of facial flints. Im not sure what to do as my gp doesn't have any availabile appointments and im scared that itncould be something serious I've tired absolutely everything to stop the lumps form growing but nothing is working. Does anybody know what this possibly could be?

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

I’m sorry you are worried about some lumps. Try not to worry lumps and bumps can appear for lots of different reasons and most of the time won't be caused by anything as serious as cancer, especially at your young age. However it is worth getting them checked out just to sure, so it would be a good idea to make an appointment to see your GP.

Doctors are experienced at assessing symptoms and if they have concerns about your symptoms or are unsure about what the matter is they may run some further tests like an ultrasound, or refer you to see a hospital specialist if necessary.

You can read more about lumps here,

    www.nhs.uk/.../

on the NHS website but generally lymph nodes are normally swollen because of a recent viral or bacterial infection and can sometimes be felt for several months after the infection has cleared.

I hope you know more about your situation soon.

    Kind regards,

    Vanda
