Would a CT pick up breast change?

I noticed what i think is moveable breast tissue (doesnt feel like a lump as such) below the nipple area towards to outer breast a few weeks before i had a CT scan back in July (the CT was for lymph nodes, all ok they was very small).

Would the consultant have picked something up if it was anything sinister?

I haven't had any symptoms either, I just thought about it a few days ago and wondered if i should get it checked or not?

Also for info, last year i had an ultrasound on the breast for a lump i found which was just breast tissue.

Thanks :)

  • Hello,

If you have noticed a change in your breast you need to speak to your doctor about this.  As the CT scan was being used to look at something different and not the breast changes, it may well not have picked up any problems there, so do mention this other symptom to your doctor.

I notice that you have posted before about symptoms you are concerned about.  Whenever anyone has symptoms, no one here on Cancer Chat can tell them what might be causing them and we will almost always suggest going back to the doctor.  You also mentioned in one of your posts that you worry about cancer and your health a lot.  It might be helpful to discuss this anxiety with your doctor so that they can help you manage it.

It is probably not a good idea to spend time here on Cancer Chat unless you are ever diagnosed with cancer.  As this is a cancer forum it will keep cancer front of mind for you and worry you more.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Martin
