This must be such a confusing time for you and it does look like you know about the appointment before the letter came through to tell you why you needed it.

It could be that you have HPV and you could have an abnormal screening result, however to know exactly why you need a colposcopy clinic appointment you will either get the letter before it , or have to wait for the appointment or you could try calling the clinic who may be able to tell you more about your situation.
